SCA Rapier rules
These are the Society-wide rapier rules that apply to all fencers in every kingdom.
|
 |
Caid Rapier Rules Each kingdom has its own set of combat rules within the Society guidelines. Here's what you'll need to know about combat rules, armour and weapon
standards within Caid. Print out a copy to read and study in preparation for your Authorization test. |

Waivers
|
|
If you are a Minor, you absolutely MUST have copies of two more
waivers, links to which can be found on the Minors
page
|
|
Every time you participate in rapier combat, be it
practice, a local event, or a war with 200+ blood-frenzied combatants, you
will need to have a waiver on record. This shows that you acknowledge you
are participating in a potentially dangerous sport, and will not hold the
SCA or any of its officers liable for any injuries you might sustain while
fighting. You have two options on this matter:
-
Get an SCA
Membership. Part of your membership is a subscription-long blanket
waiver. Membership has its privileges.
-
Sign a site waiver at each and every rapier event you fight in (this
gets old REAL fast). However, if you're just trying out rapier and/or
don't want to get a membership yet, this will get you on the
field.
